Arsenal transfer news: Gunners face competition from Leicester for Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa
The Spaniard has impressed in La Liga since helping his club win promotion back in 2015
ARSENAL and Leicester are looking at Las Palmas star Roque Mesa.
The Spaniard has made his way onto the Premier League clubs' radar after impressing in La Liga.
According to, Mesa, 27, helped Las Palmas to promotion in 2015 and Sevilla attempted to sign him in the summer.
The club are expected to come back in for Mesa during the winter transfer window.
But they could face some stiff competition from the Gunners and the Premier League champions Leicester.
The Prem pair have reportedly sent scouts to watch Mesa in action and they have been impressed.
Sevilla wanted Mesa to replace Vincente Iborra but he decided to stay with the back-to-back Europa League winners.

The reports will not please many Arsenal fans who were angered when Arsene Wenger only bought midfielders and defenders in the summer.
The Gunners are fully stocked in the middle of the park with the likes of Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla.
Leicester seem just as beefed up in midfield meaning Mesa would have to compete with Nampalys Mendy, Daniel Amartey and England international Danny Drinkwater.
