And Eriksen's incredible comeback from last year's cardiac arrest continued as he opened his Bees account at Stamford Bridge.

A west London derby thriller saw Antonio Rudiger open the scoring with a goal-of-the-season contender after 48 minutes.

But Chelsea were immediately pegged back when Vitaliy Janelt equalised for the visitors.

And Eriksen's glorious moment came in the 54th minute when he fired Brentford 2-1 ahead.

The Dane found space in Chelsea's box before being picked out by Bryan Mbeumo.

And Eriksen cooly slotted the ball home to register his first-ever Brentford strike.

The playmaker had already bagged an assist for his new side, but he looked absolutely delighted to be on the score sheet as teammates joined in with wild celebrations.

The strike was also Eriksen's third in as many games, having scored in successive matches for Denmark over the international break.
