NICKLAS BENDTNER has been showing off his ball skills in his underpants - proving again he is better at making headlines for near-naked photos than scoring goals.
The ex-Arsenal striker seemed to be wearing the briefest possible pair of briefs as he entertained his new Nottingham Forest team-mates with a nifty display of footwork in the dressing room.
The Denmark star, 28, has made headlines before over his minimalist choice of clothing in Instagram photos.
This time he at least kept his top on as he volleyed an exchange of passes across the dressing room, flicked the ball perfectly into a bin and celebrated in comic style by bumping chests with a team-mate.
Bendtner barely covered his modesty when he sprawled himself on a chair two years to urge his Instagram followers: "Remember protect yourself against the sun".
And he also took a selfie in just white Y-fronts and a sideways-facing cap.
But the naked truth is that Bendtner's record in front of goal is less dramatic than his Instagram history in front of a camera.
He netted 24 times in 108 games for Arsenal, whilst he was just as enigmatic and erratic in three loan spells.
He followed 11 goals from 42 matches for Birmingham with eight in 28 for Sunderland and none in nine for Juventus.
Nonetheless, he earned a permanent move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in 2014, only to disappoint with just three goals in 31 games.
And he missed a glaring late chance when coming on for his Forest debut in the 2-1 home defeat against Norwich on Saturday.
But Bendtner is still confident of making most of his headlines this season for on-pitch reasons.
On joining the former European champions this month, he said: "Nottingham Forest is a big club with a great history and I can see myself fitting in here very well.
"If we reach our targets then it will be an amazing season."
