West Ham news: Hammers put contract talks on hold with under-pressure boss Slavan Bilic as he faces the axe
Hammers chiefs had planned to give the ex-Croatia manager a new deal in January
WEST Ham have put contract talks with under-pressure boss Slavan Bilic on hold after a disastrous start to the season.
Hammers chiefs had planned to give the ex-Croatia manager a new deal in January, with initial discussions starting months ago.
But West Ham have only won two of their last twelve games and were smashed 4-2 at West Brom on Saturday.
It is now believed Bilic, 48, could be SACKED if results do not improve in the next month.
Chairman David Sullivan said at the end of last season: “I will give Slavan a new deal in January.

“I just want to see that he is not a one-season wonder. I am sure he is not but we'll talk next January. or at the end of next season.”
Bilic admitted at the weekend he was embarrassed by his side’s performance after being 4-0 down after 56 minutes.
A West Ham insider said: “You normally don't have to wait that long to find out how it's going to go.
“Half a dozen games usually tells you what you need to know.”
