Manchester United defender Eric Bailly chased by assistant after forgetting items in store during city centre shopping trip
Nippy Ivorian spent two hours in Selfridges with pal where he bought new winter coat — but left some purchases behind
FORGETFUL Eric Bailly almost left some of his purchases behind during a shopping spree in Manchester city centre.
The 22-year-old Ivorian, who joined from Villarreal in the summer, was checking out the high street stores such as Selfridges.
However, he was set to return home without many of the items he had just bought.
Lucky for a him, a handy shop assistant was on hand to save the day as she raced down to return the purchases he had left behind.
Bailly bought a new winter coat which he wore straight out of the store as he prepares himself for Manchester's chilly winter evenings.
The central defender was Jose Mourinho's first signing at Old Trafford and has impressed with a string of great performances.
He was named man of the match on his debut in the Community Shield victory over Leicester — and then on his Premier League bow against Bournemouth.

Bailly's sensational start to life at United saw him pick up the club's Player of the Month award for August.
Like most of his team-mates, he started off sluggishly in the recent defeat to Manchester City, but recovered well and was much improved in the second-half.
His performances have kept Chris Smalling — who was one of United's best performers last season — out of the team.
