Real Madrid transfer ban: Zinedine Zidane handed huge boost as youth stars get green light to continue playing
Real and Atletico Madrid unable to sign players in next two windows after breaching rules over 'protection of minors'
REAL MADRID have been given a huge boost in their battle to overturn a transfer ban.
The Spanish giants and fierce rivals Atletico Madrid are not allowed to sign any players in the next two windows after breaching rules regarding the ‘protection of minors.’
Both sides had appeals denied by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) earlier this month.
But Real youth players affected by the ban will be allowed to play as an overall appeal is held.
This means starlets including Zinedine Zidane’s own sons can take to the pitch for Los Blancos.
However, a whole overturning of the transfer window ban will be hard to accomplish after Barcelona were forced to serve a similar punishment in 2015.
And Zidane admits he’s found the sanctions difficult to accept, especially as his children are involved.
The Frenchman said: “I do not understand it and it annoys me. It is absurd. The club want this changed quickly and I hope it will be.
