Real Madrid and Barcelona scouted Celtic star Moussa Dembele as he demolished Rangers with hat-trick
Spanish duo interested in signing young French striker but wouldn't have been impressed with failed penalty at Nou Camp
REAL MADRID and Barcelona have shown interest in signing Celtic star Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
The former Fulham striker joined the Hoops on a free transfer over the summer and has quickly become a key man for Brendan Rodgers.
Dembele bagged an impressive hat-trick in last weekend’s Old Firm win over Rangers, but things didn’t go quite as well in Celtic’s Champions League opener against Barcelona on Tuesday.
The Frenchman had the chance to equalise from the spot at the Nou Camp, but saw his penalty saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Barcelona went on to record a stunning 7-0 win, and Rodgers admits Dembele’s poor spot-kick changed the momentum of the match.
However, it’s been claimed Barca and Real are both monitoring the 20-year-old’s progress at Celtic Park with the view to making bids.

alleges the Spanish giants sent representatives to the Old Firm clash in Glasgow in order to run the rule over Dembele.
His hat-trick would certainly have impressed any scouts in attendance, although his mid-week European performance could force Real and Barca into a rethink.
But Dembele is sure to be ready to rock in the Scottish Premiership again on Sunday, with Celtic making the journey to face Inverness at the Caledonian Stadium.
