But with Wayne Rooney staying at home, Rashford has his chance to impress for 90 minutes against a Feyenoord side yet to taste defeat this season.

Mourinho will wring the changes, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard both missing the game.

On Rashford, the Special One said: "The next big game is against Feyenoord and he is going to play.

";He is mainly a No 9 and if you want to play him in different positions, we need to work him, we need to improve him, but his big personality is there.

"Normally, people look to the football talent but the personality at this level is very, very important and he was showing that last season, he was showing that immediately."

After bursting onto the scene with a wonderful performance against FC Nordsjælland last season.

Rashford's meteoric rise in the last six months has seen him compared to Thierry Henry.

There were reports that Mourinho would bring in another signing due to his famed mistrust of youth, but the talent displayed by the young United forward has convinced the Portuguese he is set to be a first-team regular.

United kick-off their Europa campaign at 6pm tonight before travelling to face Watford on Sunday.
