Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is head and shoulders above De Bruyne in all-time Premier League goal involvements table

KEVIN DE BRUYNE took the plaudits when he scored two goals to down Manchester United in Sunday’s derby.

But the Man City ace is trailing former Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard in the all-time Premier League goal involvements table.

De Bruyne, 30, is widely regarded as the best player in the league alongside Liverpool’s Mo Salah.

And his top flight numbers for a midfielder are amazing.

That’s because the Belgian has scored 51 goals in the Premier League while laying on 81 assists, giving him a combined goal involvement total of 132.

However, De Bruyne is only EIGHTH in the all-time list, dragging behind James Milner, David Beckham and former City pal David Silva.

Cesc Fabregas is fourth, with Paul Scholes third and Steven Gerrard second.

But leading the way by a country mile is Chelsea legend and now-Everton boss Lampard.

The former England international is the top-scoring Premier league midfielder of all time with 177 goals.

That’s 57 more than Gerrard and 126 more than De Bruyne.

Lampard also bagged 102 assists, 41 more than De Bruyne and only beaten by Fabregas’ 111.

But for a combined total, Lampard stands head and shoulders above everybody with 279 Premier League goal involvements - 67 more than second-place Gerrard and over DOUBLE De Bruyne’s contribution.
