Arsenal waiting over future of Alexis Sanchez but Mesut Ozil looks set to sign new deal after arrival of Shkodran Mustafi

Chilean star is looking for a wage increase and buy-out clause in new deal but Gunners don't think it is foregone conclusion

ARSENAL are confident of keeping hold of Mesut Ozil - but must offer a wage increase to tempt Alexis Sanchez to stay.

The Chilean star, 27, scored the equaliser as the Gunners fought back to earn a draw against Paris Saint-German in their opening Champions League game.

With less than two years left on his contract, the club are scrambling to get a deal sorted for Sanchez - but he is looking for a wage increase and a buy-out clause.

The Gunners are desperate to hold onto the forward and Arsene Wenger sees him as the key man to tie down to a new deal.

But there were internal struggles last season, with Sanchez keen to play every game and showing his discontent at the French boss' rotation policy.

And according to the , German midfielder Ozil - who earns £140,000-a-week - seems certain to sign a new contract at the Emirates after the arrival of pal Shkodran Mustafi.

The playmaker has settled into London life and appears at ease being one of the stars of the Arsenal side.

Wenger's side travel to face Hull on Saturday as they look to continue their recent upturn in form.
