BAYERN MUNICH toasted Tuesday night's Champions League success with a drink as they prepared for Oktoberfest.

The Bavarian club's stars were feeling lager than life at a beer brewing company in Germany following their 5-0 romp of Russian side FC Rostov at the Allianz Arena.

Goalscorers Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Juan Bernat were among those pictured letting loose after netting at the Allianz Arena.

The victory continues Bayern's incredible start to the season under former Chelsea boss Ancelotti, with five wins from five games plus 20 goals scored and none conceded.

Oktoberfest starts on Saturday and Bayern's staff and players annually attend the festivities.

The folk festival sees attendees wearing traditional Lederhosen and drinking beer.

Ancelotti, 57, made his first appearance as Munich boss since Pep Guardiola departed for Manchester City in the summer.

The Italian and his squad joined in with tradition in their outfits, donning leather breeches, long socks, white shirts and a jacket.

It was also a first outing for Bayern newbie Renato Sanches - a £28million summer signing from Benfica - but there were enough experienced heads in the likes of Philipp Lahm and Manuel Neuer to teach him custom.

Bayern are in the mood to party after three resounding wins to the start of their season.

Bundesliga triumphs over Werder Bremen and Schalke have seen them score eight and concede none.

And the midweek European victory over Rostov places them top of Group D on goal difference.

Ancelotti is staying level-headed and insists his side must focus first on qualifying from the group.

He told : "I'm happy, we made a good start.

"Win the Champions League? Sure it is possible, our team will be competitive this season, and for the moment everything is fine, but the first objective is to win the group, then we will see the draw.

"It was a great game. We opened the scoring early and then the game was more open for us.

"He [Kimmich] is in a very good shape, he's on a really good run and he's staying focused. But I have a very good team and it is difficult to compose a starting line-up."
