The match comes three days after England's World Cup 2018 qualifier against Scotland at Hampden Park.

The last time the two teams met was in November 2015 at Wembley, with Wayne Rooney and Dele Alli gifting Roy Hodgson the win.

It will be the first time England have played in France's national stadium since March 2008 for a friendly in which David Beckham won his 100th cap.

Sam Allardyce has got England off to a winning start since replacing Hodgson in July, with a 1-0 win in qualifying away to Slovakia this month.

Didier Deschamps' France, on the other hand, were held to a goalless draw in Belarus in their opening qualifier.

After the two teams meet England will still have four games to go in their group.

The Stade de France was at the heart of a series of devastating terror attacks last year which left 130 people dead.

France's friendly against Germany on November 13 was interrupted by a number of coordinated bombings as French president Francois Hollande and 80,000 others were watching the match.

However, no further attacks were carried out as Les Bleus' hosted Euro 2016 this summer.

And the Stade de France was home to the final where Portugal beat the holders 1-0 thanks to an extra-time Eder goal.

The friendly can help determine Big Sam's plans for clashes against Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia and Lithuania.
