Man Utd ‘planning for life after Paul Pogba despite turnaround under Rangnick as deal expires ahead of free transfer’
MANCHESTER UNITED are still planning for life after Paul Pogba with the midfielder entering the final four months of his contract, reports say.
The Red Devils' form has improved since Interim boss Ralf Rangnick took charge in November last year.
And Pogba's return to action from a three-month spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury has also strengthened United in the midfield.
The Frenchman scored on his Premier League return in the 1-1 draw with Burnley.
And interim manager Ralf Rangnick - who plans on sticking around at United beyond this season in some capacity - has held positive talks with Pogba over extending his stay at Old Trafford.
But according to the , there is still no inclination that the midfielder will to 'commit' to a new deal, leaving the door open to another FREE transfer away from United.
As a result, Man Utd are already planning on recruiting a midfielder in the summer transfer window.
West Ham's Declan Rice is one of the midfielders United have been keeping an eye on.

But with Rice going from strength to strength again this season, the bargain £100million Hammers boss David Moyes spoke about in the summer is gone.
West Ham now want around £120m for Rice, whose contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The Hammers also have an option to extend his contract by a further year.
Other midfield options include Wolves' Ruben Neves and Leicester City's Youri Tielemans.
