PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG got off the mark for Barcelona with a hat-trick in their 4-1 win over Valencia.

The 32-year-old Gabon international scampered onto a long ball over the top in the 23rd minute of the LaLiga game on Sunday.

He raced clear and fired an unstoppable strike into the top corner as he hit the back of the net for the first time in Spain.

The ex-Gunner then celebrated with his trademark front flip as he kick-started his career with Barca.

And he had to wait just 15 minutes for another goal as he struck again shortly before the break.

A low cross was tucked away from close range by Aubameyang as he celebrated once more.

Barcelona raced into a 3-0 led after Frenkie de Jong also got his name on the scoresheet in between two Aubameyang goals.

And the former Arsenal man was awarded Barcelona's fourth goal, which was initially credited to Pedri, to complete his hat-trick.

Aubameyang had netted seven times in 15 games for Arsenal this season before being left out in the cold back in December.

He was the subject of a disciplinary breach after returning back late from a trip abroad.

This led to him being stripped as captain.

And he would not feature again for the club before his contract was ripped up and he joined Barcelona last month.

He has taken a significant wage reduction in order to play for the Spanish giants.
