Manchester derby: Jose Mourinho admits mistake by throwing on Marcus Rashford at half-time for Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Rashford, 18, had started the game on the bench with United fans raging at boss Jose Mourinho's decision
MARCUS RASHFORD was thrown on at half-time as Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho seemingly admitted starting Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard was an error.
Red Devils fans were left furious after Mourinho left Rashford, 18, on the bench for the start of the game.
But with United ran ragged in the first half and fortunate to go in just one goal behind, the Portuguese called for Rashford and Ander Herrera for to inject some life into United's play.
And the swagger was back in United's play at the beginning of the second half as Rahford nearly forced a chance straight from kick-off by making the most of his explosive pace down the left.
Ahead of the game a number of the Red Devils faithful vented their frustration as the two giants prepared to clash heads in the derby.
