JOSE MOURINHO and Pep Guardiola have buried the hatchet before today’s explosive Manchester derby.
Mourinho said: “The fight between Kell Brook and that big guy is the story — it’s not us. It’s not me against him, it’s United against City.”
SunSport can reveal the pair decided to end their bitter eight-year feud with a handshake at a Premier League meeting — stunning rival bosses.
A Premier League source said: “Everybody was expecting fireworks but instead they shook hands and agreed to put the past behind them.
“I doubt they’ll ever be best friends but they were on good terms. They even cracked a smile and a joke.”
Etihad chief Guardiola and United boss Mourinho face up in the Prem for the first time this lunchtime.
The pair — once close friends at Barcelona under Bobby Robson — fell out after Guardiola became Nou Camp boss in 2008, a job Mourinho craved.
