STRIKER Lautaro Martinez allegedly spat at rival Theo Hernandez after a furious brawl broke out at the end of the Milan derby at the weekend.

But the match turned ugly in stoppage time when AC Milan defender Hernandez was sent off for a professional foul as he looked to prevent a dangerous attack.

And the matter did not end there.

After the final whistle, Inter pair Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni stormed over to Hernandez to confront him.

They started shoving and insulting the Frenchman as tempers boiled over following one of the biggest games of the season so far.

And a clip has now emerged which allegedly shows Martinez spitting at Hernandez - who is retreating down the tunnel.

The win for AC Milan moves them just one point behind champions Inter at the top of the table.

Napoli are also just a point off Inter in what is turning out to be a thrilling three-horse race for the 2021-22 Serie A title.

Speaking after the Milan derby, match-winner Giroud said: “I was a bit frustrated in the first half, like the whole team, because we didn’t play well and we knew that.

“After the break we showed a great team spirit. We are back!

"The road is still long. We are in the race, but there are a lot of games left to play and Inter remain on top.“

Frustrated Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was left feeling aggrieved that his side had spurned a one-goal lead.

“It’s normal to be disappointed, we all know how important the derby is,” he said.

“We lost undeservedly but that is football.

"We need to analyse it calmly and see where we were lacking, because objectively speaking, we gave away practically nothing up to the first goal.“
