The Brazilian midfielder, 20, said: "When he arrived, everyone could see that he was a real professional.

"Just by his physical appearance, you can tell he is professional as hell. He just wants to win – he only thinks about football.

"He brought his own physiotherapist with him, to treat him at the club. Everyone was left open-mouthed by that."

Pereira, who was loaned out to Granada on a season-long loan this summer, reckons the new trio of Ibra, Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho can wreak "havoc" in the Premier League.

He told : "Things have changed a fair bit.

"Ibra arrived. Pogba arrived and that was a bit strange . . . it was like he was coming back from a long holiday!

"The new players will help the team a lot. It's really different since Mourinho's arrival: everyone is more focused and prepared to play.

"I think this year Manchester United will create havoc.";

Pereira grew frustrated at his lack of opportunity at Old Trafford and left for La Liga to hone his skills.

And the midfielder has revealed Mourinho still considers him in his long-term plans at United.

He added: "Mourinho told me that he likes my style of play a lot and that he liked what I did in pre-season.

"He wants to see how I play in Spain and then wants me to go back and play for him next season."
