LIVERPOOL will step up their pursuit of Mahmoud Dahoud by sending scouts to watch the star in action on Tuesday.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder is set to start for Germany’s U21’s against Finland tonight, and reports in his homeland claim Jurgen Klopp will be keeping a close eye on proceedings.
The Reds boss tried and failed with a £25million bid for Dahoud in August, with Gladbach unwilling to sell one of their best talents.
But the 20-year-old could be available for a fraction of that price next year, which is why Klopp remains on keen on a deal.
Dahoud has less than two years to run on his current contract and is in no rush to extend his stay.
It’s believed the youngster has an £8.3m release clause coming into play next year, and Liverpool could get themselves a real bargain.

There is also interest from Italian champions Juventus, and Dahoud is sure to have a large number of offers on the table if he decides to leave Gladbach.
