LEICESTER’s Ben Chilwell could have been wearing the red of Liverpool this weekend if Kop boss Jurgen Klopp had been willing to pay up the £10million fee.
The highly-rated Foxes full-back was one of several left-backs linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
Midfielder James Milner has been deployed in the position following Albert Moreno’s poor form and due to the lack of a new arrival.
Klopp, however, could have called upon England Under-21s international Chilwell had he not refused to pay over the odds for the 19-year-old, according to reports.
The Foxes youngster, who had a spell on loan at Championship side Huddersfield last season, has yet to appear in the Premier League for Claudio Ranieri’s side.
