Liverpool transfer news: AC Milan rejected Reds offer for Italy full-back Mattia De Sciglio
LIVERPOOL had an offer for Mattia De Sciglio rejected by AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Jurgen Klopp was linked with full-backs all summer but failed to sign anyone.
The Reds also saw moves for Ben Chilwell of Leicester and Lucas Digne - who eventually moved to Barcelona - fall through.
De Sciglio, who was part of Italy's Euro 2016 squad, was also being chased by Juventus and Napoli but Milan were determined to hang onto the defender.
The failure to bring in a left-back means centre-midfielder James Milner will continue to challenge Moreno for the position.
The Spaniard was dropped after his poor performance against Arsenal with the former England man filling in since.
Milner's agent Matthew Buck said the 30-year-old is happy to play the role.
