The failure to bring in a left-back means centre-midfielder James Milner will continue to challenge Moreno for the position.

The Spaniard was dropped after his poor performance against Arsenal with the former England man filling in since.

Milner's agent Matthew Buck said the 30-year-old is happy to play the role.
