KARIM BENZEMA will be allowed to resume his international career with France when legal proceedings have finished.
The president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noel Graet, has claimed the door will be open for Benzema, once the legal proceedings against him for an alleged blackmail have terminated.
Le Graet told L'Equipe: "I am against lifetime punishments. Benzema needs to go through the courts, we won't take a risk, whatever it might be."
"He already missed the Euros, that's something.
"The problem hasn't been raised for the moment, but he's available for selection. The day when justice will be done, only then will Didier decide whether to integrate him or not."

The French striker was suspended indefinitely by the FFF in December 2015 after an investigation was opened for an alleged blackmail on France team-mate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape.
Graet has said the 28-year-old will be available for selection again but it will be coach Didier Deschamps to make the final decision.
Benzema did not play during the Euro 2016 and missed France's 3-1 victory against Italy in a friendly last week.
And the striker is yet to feature for Real Madrid this season, recovering from a hip injury.
No court date has been set in Benzema's case.
