MARCUS RASHFORD has the one crucial quality needed to become an England legend, according to Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate.
The teenager has ICE coursing through his veins — just like his Manchester United predecessors Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney.
Marcus Rashford, centre, is set for his England U21s debut on Tuesday
Rashford, 18, sizzled on his Old Trafford debut in February, bagging two against Midtjylland.
And he marked his England call-up with a goal against Australia to force himself into Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad.
A lack of playing time this season forced new Three Lions boss Sam Allardyce to drop Rashford down to the Under-21s for tonight’s Group 9 clash with Norway at Colchester.
But Southgate reckons it will not be long before the fearless rookie is back in the seniors.

He said: “I have played with Rooney on his England debut, with Beckham on his debut and I’ve played with Scholes.
“One of the elements you are aware of in all of those is that they’re not fazed by anything that is thrown at them. That would seem to be what has happened so far with Marcus.
“It is really early to say what he is going to be. But if you look at the top players, it’s the mental side that differentiates.
“When they go to the seniors first and then come to us, that can’t be easy for a young player. But I am impressed with the way Marcus approached that.”
