ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI had an action-packed night as Poland and Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc were left cherry-faced by minnows Kazakhstan.

The White Eagles travelled to the former Soviet republic to begin their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign but surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 in Astana.

And they seemed to be in confident spirits before kick off as sub goalkeeper Boruc trolled the host nation on Instagram.

The 36-year-old posted a picture of Sacha Baron Cohen's fictional Kazakhstani character Borat Sagdiyev, with the caption "Still like you... dzień dobry", with the latter meaning good morning.

While the trip east appeared to be a bit of a joke to the shotstopper, he will not have been laughing at full-time as the tiny populated nation held his side to a draw.
