Liverpool transfer news: Reds miss out on highly-rated Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic
Player's father rules out a transfer from German giants with Pulisic keen to play Champions League football
LIVERPOOL and Stoke are set to miss out on Christian Pulisic after the player's father revealed the winger "has no interest" in leaving Borussia Dortmund.
The talented 17-year-old was the subject of offers from the Premier League duo but the German giants were reluctant to let the youngster leave with the winger set for a bright future in the game.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was keen to reunite with his former player and submitted an offer believed to be around £11million but Pulisic had no intentions of leaving according to his father.
Speaking to Bild, Mark Pulisic said: "Christian has no interest in leaving the club.
"He had a good half year last season and wants to continue to break through."

Klopp promoted Pulisic to the first team whilst in charge of Dortmund and has since become both the youngest foreign player to score and the youngest player to score a brace in the Bundesliga.
But Pulisic is keen to concentrate on playing Champions League football, something both Stoke and Liverpool are unable to offer.
Klopp is expecting a quiet transfer deadline day with no news of any incomings.
Mario Balotelli, Lazar Markovic and Mamadou Sakho could all be leaving the club before Wednesday's 11pm deadline.
