Middlesbrough transfer news: Middlesbrough sign Aston Villa winger Adama Traore on a four-year deal

MIDDLESBROUGH have signed winger Adama Traore from Aston Villa on a four-year deal.
And Albert Adomah, albeit in a separate deal, has moved the opposite way to the Midlands.
The 20-year-old Traore only joined the Villans from Barcelona last summer in a £7million deal on £40,000 per week.
Despite his arrival sparking huge excitement amongst the club’s fans, the attacker flattered to deceive under bosses Tim Sherwood, Remi Garde and Eric Black.
He failed to start a single Premier League game last season and scored his only goal for Villa during the League Cup clash with Notts County.

Karanka, however, has decided to take a gamble on the wideman and believes he can help his fellow Spaniard to fulfil his potential.
The Boro manager told the club's website: “He is another important player and I am expecting a lot from him.
“I’ve known him since he was a kid. He went into the national team just after I left, but I know all about him and what he can do.
“His level is higher than he showed last season, but in the right environment I’m hoping that he will show what he is capable of.”
Aston Villa chairman Dr. Tony Xia announced the signing of Adomah from Boro on Twitter earlier.
It seemed he jumped the gun slightly as Boro were still waiting for Traore to pass his medical, but the club confirmed the deal later in the afternoon.
What is a football medical and why do Premier League players sometimes fail them?
Adomah, who was playing non-league football eight years ago, moved to the Riverside in 2013 for £1m and has made over 130 appearances for the club.
He scored eight goals in 47 games to help Boro win promotion last season.
Although the fee for the 28-year-old is undisclosed, the Teessiders have made a profit on the Ghana international.
