Adebayor is a free agent since completing his short-term contract at Crystal Palace at the end of last season.

The deal does not need to be completed before 11pm though as he is without a club.

The former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham forward scored once in seven appearances for Alan Pardew's side since joining in January.

Adebayor had been targeted by Turkish side Caykur Rizespor earlier this month, with their boss Hikmet Karaman claiming a deal had been 'agreed in principle'.

Fulham are second in the Championship and manager Slavisa Jokanovic hopes Adebayor's experience can help them secure promotion.

But the 6ft 3in forward will most likely have to lower his wage demands to join the club.

Palace paid Adebayor £100,000 a week last season after scooping him up as a free agent.
