MANCHESTER CITY attempted to sign Monaco's teen Kylian Mbappe for £35million this summer.
The 17-year-old French striker signed his first professional contract last March with Monaco, and was approached months later for a move.
City tried to sign the young star for £35million this summer but Monaco turned it down.
Barcelona, who won La Liga in May, have also enquired about the youngster for ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Mbappe is contracted with the Ligue 1 club until 2019 but we could well see him move to the Premier League in a huge money transfer.

One that made the exact move is Anthony Martial a year ago on Deadline Day, when he joined Manchester United for a record £50m (including add-ons) for a 19-year-old.
And the deal was accepted weeks after Martial had signed a contract extension with Monaco, following a Tottenham Hotspur £20m bid.
Mbappe won the European Championship trophy this summer with the France Under-19 team.
