IT could be quite a transfer deadline day for Chelsea fans.

The Blues have made a sensational bid to bring David Luiz back to the club from Paris Saint-Germain in a £32million transfer.

Marcos Alonso is also set to finalise a move to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina, while the rumours about James Rodriguez possibly swapping the Spanish capital for London are still rife.

With just hours to go until the deadline, we look at Chelsea's summer business.

Who have they signed so far?

Antonio Conte hasn’t had to do much to get the Blues back in the title race. Premier League champ N’Golo Kante was a £30m sure thing and Michy Batshuayi an exciting £33m back-up for Diego Costa. Reserve ‘keeper Eduardo was picked up for relative peanuts.

What do they still need?

The Italian boss appears to have shored up the defensive but, with Kurt Zouma coming back from a serious knee injury and John Terry in the autumn of his brilliant career, a young centre-back might be handy.

Who have they been linked with?

David Luiz has emerged as a late target this window with the Blues launching a £32m bid. James Rodriguez is another marquee signing the club keep getting linked with and, if out-of-favour playmaker Cesc Fabregas moves on, the Colombian would make a sweet swap. One-time Bolton flop Marcos Alonso is also a £23m target after turning his career around in Italy.

Who else could leave?

Any of the two dozen or so players Chelsea have shipped out on loan could – and probably should – be sold for the sake of their careers. Patrick Bamford is on loan club No6 with a trip to Burnley and should find a permanent base if only to save on the cost of constantly moving house.
