Wayne Rooney reveals England players were ‘disappointed’ with Wales’ antics at Euro 2016 when the Three Lions suffered shock exit against Iceland

WAYNE ROONEY claims his England team were disappointed with Wales’ antics at Euro 2016.

Aaron Ramsey led Welsh celebrations after England lost  2-1 to minnows Iceland.

England skipper Wayne Rooney feels it was harsh of Wales players to celebrate over the Euro 2016 misfortune of England that was experienced by their club-mates

Roo said: “For some of the lads who have club team-mates jumping around to celebrate their team-mates’ failure was a bit disappointing — for some of them.

“Not taken aback, I think a bit disappointed.”

Arsenal midfielder Ramsey, Spurs defender Ben Davies, and former  Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen all play club  football alongside some of Roy Hodgson’s flops.

But a video, which was  leaked online, showed Chris Coleman’s Welsh squad watching the match in the team hotel.

And they appeared to thoroughly enjoy the Three Lions crashing out at the last-16 stage.

Rooney added: “Personally I wasn’t too fussed about the celebrations.

“I said before that  during the tournament I’m not fussed what Wales  or Ireland do in the  tournament.”

Asked about his  reaction to Wales’ semi-final loss to Portugalthe England skipper added: “Again I wasn’t fussed.

“During that period I probably would have wanted them to go on and win  it, as I would rather a British team win it.

“But I didn’t lose any sleep when they got knocked out.”
