Roo said: “For some of the lads who have club team-mates jumping around to celebrate their team-mates’ failure was a bit disappointing — for some of them.

“Not taken aback, I think a bit disappointed.”

Arsenal midfielder Ramsey, Spurs defender Ben Davies, and former  Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen all play club  football alongside some of Roy Hodgson’s flops.

But a video, which was  leaked online, showed Chris Coleman’s Welsh squad watching the match in the team hotel.

And they appeared to thoroughly enjoy the Three Lions crashing out at the last-16 stage.

Rooney added: “Personally I wasn’t too fussed about the celebrations.

“I said before that  during the tournament I’m not fussed what Wales  or Ireland do in the  tournament.”

Asked about his  reaction to Wales’ semi-final loss to Portugalthe England skipper added: “Again I wasn’t fussed.

“During that period I probably would have wanted them to go on and win  it, as I would rather a British team win it.

“But I didn’t lose any sleep when they got knocked out.”
