Micah Richards reveals he splashed $150k in ONE night in LA after Man City increased his pay from £5k to £50k-a-week
MICAH RICHARDS has revealed he once splurged $150,000 on a single night out in Los Angeles.
The BBC pundit, 33, told the Match of the Day podcast what it was like to start earning £50,000 a week before he reached the age of 20.
The defender admits it was too much too soon and he got carried away a little bit - though it did allow him to invest in property.
He said on the podcast: "I was given a bit too much too soon, so you just down tools a little bit.
"And I am not afraid to say because you know the papers will document it. I went from £5,000 a week to £50,000 a week. From 18 to 19! That's what I mean!
"So I'm on £2.5m a year. This is in the late 2000's. I went from £500 to £5,000 a week and it was fully deserved at the time.
"(With) £50,000 a week it was more because I was an asset, so if they wanted to sell me…'
"I didn't spent money and waste it because I've got loads of property.

"It was different because you're going out and you're buying everyone, you want to be the man, the man around the town.
"I went to LA one time and honestly in one night we spent $150,000! Honestly, on just drink and having a good time."
Gary Lineker replied: "That's a lot of drink, I want to know what the good time was."
Alan Shearer also added: "That must have been one hell of a f****** hangover!"
