Crystal Palace are currently locked in talks with the Arsenal midfielder over a possible season-long loan move.
Watford and Bournemouth - and clubs abroad - have also been linked with the axed England star.

16:59: There's some movement at Vicarage Road, as Watford re-sign defender Adrian Mariappa on a three-year contract.
He made 247 appearances in his first spell at the club and left Crystal Palace in the summer.
16.43: HULL have finally made an outfield signing this summer, bringing Tottenham's RYAN MASON on a three-year deal.
The fee is reported to be a club-record £13m. He will join David Marshall at the KCOM Stadium today.
16.31: In case you missed it, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed he has turned down a whopping EIGHT offers for fit-again forward Danny Ings.
Earlier this month Klopp said: “We’re counting on Ingsy. He is a fantastic boy.
16.16: Meanwhile, Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal at the King Power Stadium.
Albrighton, 26 - who was a key member of the 2015-16 Premier League title-winning season - has been at the club since 2014 after joining from Aston Villa.
He joins big names Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy in penning a new long-term deal this summer.

Bayern Munich's director of sport Frank Baumann has said: "We've got an agreement with the player and we're confident it will go through.
"We have reached a fundamental agreement with Arsenal, but nothing is signed yet. Bayern have no influence on the potential transfer.
"It could all go through by lunchtime tomorrow. We've gathered information on him from Per Mertesacker, who was full of praise for him."
14.54: Aston Villa have announced the signing of Jonathan Kodjia on a three-year deal.
The initial fee paid to Bristol is £15m but will rise to £17m.
That's massive gains for City, who paid French club Angers a minuscule £2m for him.
Villans boss Di Matteo said: “We are really pleased to have secured the services of Jonathan.
“He is a proven goalscorer and hopefully he’ll play an important part in what we hope will be a successful season for the Club.”

The Liverpool outcast has been desperately searching for a new club all summer after being told he is not part of Jurgen Klopp's plans.
Palermo were interested in signing him but Nice can offer him a higher wage.
14.13: James Rodriguez' Real Madrid future remains a doubt.
The Colombian superstar does not fit into Zinedine Zidane's 4-3-3 formation and has lost his place in the starting XI.

13.50: Wolves confirm the signing of Romain Saiss from Ligue 1 side Angers for an undisclosed fee.
Wanderers are hoping the 26-year-old Moroccan can add plenty of Saiss to their midfield.
13.34: Spurs have signed striker Juan Pablo Gonzalez Velasco, 17, from Brentford.
Chelsea were also interested in signing the Colombian starlet but lost out to their London rivals.
At least they don't need to pay for his shirt.
13.27: Mamadou Sakho has been told to find himself a club if he wants to play first-team football this season, writes PHIL THOMAS.
The Liverpool defender hasn’t played a competitive game since he was found to have taken a banned dietary pill in a drugs test in April.
He was subsequently sent home from the Reds pre-season tour of America after three breaches of club rules.
Sakho has since been training at Melwood and there have been no further problems with discipline.
But Jurgen Klopp wants proof that he is in the right mental state to show he can have a long-term Anfield future.
And that means he will have to play elsewhere to prove it to the Kop boss before he can force his way into first-team plans again.
West Brom were interested in taking him on a permanent basis for around £20m, but Klopp is unwilling to sell him – and Sakho was not keen on the transfer.

The man who world record £107m signing Paul Pogba used to look up to is set for a sensational return to England.
Morrison, 23, left West Ham for Lazio in January 2015 but has failed to get going in Serie A.

The Catalan club has loaned out Munir El Haddadi, 20, to Valencia for the remainder of the season.

Jose Mourinho made it clear the midfielder is not a part of his plans this season.
But, speaking ahead of his last game with Germany, he said: “My absolute dream would be to play for Manchester United and help them reach their goals.
"I have had conversations (with the club) and I have no problem with Jose Mourinho, he has explained the situation to me from his perspective.
"We have to wait to see what happens in September and October and how things will develop, but I will definitely not stop playing football.
"It would be a dream to once more show the fans what I can do."
With Marouane Fellaini in inspired form and saving people's LIVES, it may be tough to work his way back in.

Baggies were thought to have targeted Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho as their top transfer window signing.
But now boss Tony Pulis has switched his attentions to Carvalho, 24.
11.50: Burnley are trying to tie up a deal for Albert Adomah from Middlesbrough, writes MIKE McGRATH.
Sean Dyche is targeting the 28-year-old winger and will tempt him with Premier League football over a move to Aston Villa in the Championship.
The Turf Moor boss is still in for Jeff Hendrick and have matched a £7m offer from Hull for the Derby midfielder.
Hendrick, who played in the Euros with Republic of Ireland, looked set for Hull but they are struggling to finalise the deal, allowing Dyche to make his move.
11.46: Federicho Macheda's contract with Cardiff has been terminated by mutual agreement.
A statement from the club read: "We would like to thank Federico for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future."

11.40: More Sunderland news as Jeremain Lens has joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.
The Dutchman will link up with ex-boss Dick Advocaat for the FOURTH time now.
He also left a parting dig at the Wearsiders and speaking about his time under Sam Allardyce, he said: “I did not play, was not even on the bench.
“I just had a problem with the club.
“What? No idea. Sunderland would just love to get rid of me.”
11.35: Juventus are reportedly bracing themselves to make a double swoop for Juan Cuadrado and Axel Witsel.
Cuadrado’s agent is set to meet with Chelsea representatives today in London to thrash out a deal to take the Colombian midfielder back to the Italian outfit.
And Juventus are also set to contact Zenit St Petersburg in a bid to tempt them to part with Belgian international Witsel.

10.29: Bit of a mix-up going on between Leicester target Adrien Silva and his current club Sporting Lisbon.
Silva thinks he's off to the Prem champions. He told O Jogo: "Yes, I confirm this proposal. Leicester is very interesting and corresponds to my career goals.
"At 27 years old, and after so many years of loyalty, I think that no one will criticise me for wanting to embrace this challenge."
But Sporting released the following statement: "The player renewed his contract in February 2016 in a deal involving significant sums of money, making it absolutely clear that the extension to his contract would mean that Adrien Silva would say at the club until the end of his career.
"Never during recent months has anything been said to the president or has any proposal been made for the transfer of Adrien Silva and the president has not met with the player's father or representatives for that purpose.
