Arsenal transfer news: PSG plot huge £64m bid for Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler
Gunners chase of German playmaker looks over as French giants prepare to swoop with massive offer
PSG are ready to offer £64million to land Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg.
After a summer of speculation, the talented German playmaker looks set to join Das Bost in leaving Die Wolves this window.
The French giants have chased Draxler all summer - with interest also coming from Arsenal who look set to miss out on the attacker.
Dost's move to Sporting Lisbon looks set to start a pinball effect, with Islam Slimani now free to make his move to the Premier League champions Leicester for £30m.
Draxler played in Wolfsburg's 2-0 win over Augsburg at the weekend whilst PSG fell to a shock 3-1 defeat away to Monaco.
But earlier this summer he'd revealed that he had expressed a desire to leave to club bosses.
He said: "I clearly told Dieter Hecking after the European Championship that I wanted to leave Wolfsburg.
"The coach knew for over three weeks. It really surprised me that for weeks they talked to the media about me. I expected that differently, for instance that someone would approach me and ask how I see it.
"Before they said something publicly, they should have also talked with me personally first."
