Chelsea transfer news: Cesc Fabregas offered to Inter in Marcelo Brozovic swap as Antonio Conte looks to revolutionise midfield

Ex-Arsenal star denied rift with Blues boss but looks on brink of leaving after playing just 12 mins of Premier League football

CHELSEA have offered Cesc Fabregas to Inter Milan in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports in Italy.

And report the Spaniard could be used as a makeweight in a deal to sign Inter midfielder Brozovic.

The Croatian is also a target for Juventus after netting twice against them in last season’s Coppa Italia semi-final, as Max Allegri’s search for a Paul Pogba replacement goes on.

Fabregas appeared to have been told he could leave Stamford Bridge following an alleged bust-up with Conte.

Fabregas has only played 12 minutes of Premier League football this season, with the arrival of N’Golo Kante limiting his time on the pitch.

Inter boss Frank de Boer is trying to revolutionise his squad as the 2010 Champions League-winners attempt to return to Europe’s biggest stage for the first time in five years.

The Nerazzurri have already brought in Joao Mario for £38.4million — and are expected to announce the signing of Gabriel Barbosa from Santos.

Brozovic is a box-to-box midfielder, who is comfortable anywhere across the middle of the park.

He moved to the San Siro on loan with a conditional obligation to buy at the beginning of last season.

The Croatia international’s highlight was a two-goal salvo in a sensational 3-0 Coppa Italia second leg victory over Juventus which took the tie to penalties.

Brovozic scored from 12 yards, but Roberto Mancini’s men lost 5-3.
