JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK has slammed Chelsea star Timo Werner for his performance against Manchester United.
The German, 25, led the line for the Blues having returned from injury mid-week against Juventus.
But he was sloppy once again in front of goal and was guilty of missing chances to get the Blues back into the game after they trailed through Jadon Sancho's goal.
After the match, Chelsea legend Hasselbaink said on Sky Sports: "Poor, with the ball and without the ball. Normally he's really sharp with his runs.
"At the end of the day you're a number nine, you're going to be judged on the opportunities you get and what you do with them.
"It was not good enough he needs to score at least the two chances, especially the one he takes with his right that he should have taken with his left, and he should score.
"He keeps on missing big chances, big opportunities. When it is 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1 he needs to put them away."
Werner scored in Tuesday's thrashing of Juventus but he was wasteful in front of goal against the Red Devils.

He attempted five shots - more than any other player during his time on the pitch - but failed to hit the target.
His golden opportunity came when United failed to clear a corner, the ball dropped to the forward but he smashed wide from close-range.
And Werner did not use his pace to run in behind a nervy United backline consisting of back-up players such as Eric Bailly and Alex Telles.
Thomas Tuchel brought on Romelu Lukaku to find a winner - who has also been out injured - but the Belgian did not have enough time to influence the game.
