Liverpool transfer news: Everton, West Brom and Crystal Palace chase unwanted striker Mario Balotelli
Italian striker has been frozen out by Jurgen Klopp as wages continue to prove biggest obstacle to move
MARIO BALOTELLI is a target for three Premier League clubs, according to reports in Italy.
Everton, West Brom and Crystal Palace are all linked with the Italian striker, who has been frozen out by Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
According to , Balotelli has to make a mind up about whether he wants to play in the Premier League or return to Italy with a Serie A club.
Palermo are an option as are Genoa. The 26-year-old was born in Sicily before moving to Brescia.
Balotelli has been in Monte Carlo with super agent Mino Raiola this week as he attempts to come to a decision on his future.
He has now returned to Liverpool, where he will continue to train with the reserves.
As has been the case throughout the summer, Balotelli’s reported £110,000-a-week wages continue to be a stumbling block for potential suitors.
Liverpool have made it known that they would accept a loan deal for Balotelli but will not pay his full salary – they will contribute 50 per cent maximum.
He has been linked with clubs across Europe this summer but has failed to reach a deal.
With the transfer window slamming shut on Wednesday night Liverpool and Balotelli will have to move fast.
