Hull 0 Manchester United 1: Marcus Rashford does it again as he bags injury-time winner to deny City
Jose Mourinho's winning streak continues after Curtis Davies and Co are finally broken down

MARCUS RASHFORD left it late to extend Jose Mourinho's winning streak as Manchester United boss.
The 18-year-old supersub met Wayne Rooney's injury-time cross after Curtis Davies and Co had done an incredible job denying hundreds of millions of pounds worth of attacking talent up till then.
Rooney's strike ten minutes from half-time was blocked off the line after Juan Mata's initial effort was saved by Eldin Jakupovic.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a ridiculous backheel only to have it wiped out for offside.
United should have been awarded a penalty for a David Meyler handball but ref Jon Moss saw nothing in it and Rashford then pounced late on to seal all three points.
FACTS, STATS, GOALS AND LOLS
- Before the game, a giant banner was held aloft. It read: “We are Hull. City of Culture. We know what we are.” Some Hull supporters fans, fed up with events here, could insert various punchlines.
- Hull certainly remain a bit of a shambles off the pitch. The club has introduced a new ticket system and the fans were queuing around the stadium for ages before getting in.
- There were thousands of empty seats for the opening home game against Leicester but funnily enough, this one was a sell-out. Anyone would think Hull had won their first two games and were playing Manchester United.
- The home fans had a major laugh at the expense of those in the away end. Ibrahimovic glanced a header over the bar and it landed onto the roof of the net but United’s fans celebrated as they thought it was 1-0. The home supporters replied with mock celebrations.
- Ibrahimovic may be a footballing magician but he is not very good at throw-ins. He got away with a clear foul throw just before half-time.
- Rooney appealed for a penalty after a poor, scuffed shot hit the stomach of Davies who was on the line. Instead, Rooney should have been annoyed for the poor effort.
- Hull’s current starting XI certainly know they will get plenty of action at the moment. The return of Harry Maguire from injury to the subs’ bench still meant they only had 14 fit first-teamers. Shaun Maloney, the only substitute to be used in the first two games, arrived for the crocked Snodgrass shortly into the second half.
- Ibrahimovic was less than impressed when Mata took the ball off his feet just as he was about to shoot. Zlatan will have had a word in the dressing room afterwards. It probably won’t happen again...
- There were cheers from the United fans when Rashford appeared on the touchline to be introduced. Even before the fourth official indicated that it was United’s No 8 to come off, it was always going to be Mata to be subbed by Mourinho.
- Marcus Rashford has been demoted to England’s under-21s but he needs to keep playing with belief. He caused all sorts of problems and forced a terrific 78th minute save from keeper Jakupovic.
