Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli could end his Anfield nightmare with a surprise move to FC Sion

MARIO BALOTELLI could end his Liverpool nightmare by signing for Swiss Super League side FC Sion.

The unpredictable Italian is desperately looking for a way out of the club having been told by boss Jurgen Klopp that he has no future at Anfield.

Balotelli's career seemed to hit rock bottom after he was rejected by Serie A minnows Sassuolo along with a string of other sides including Ajax, Besiktas and FC Nantes.

But he could be offered an escape route after Sion president, Christian Constantin, revealed that they are in talks with the player.

Speaking to , he said: "I can confirm that we're speaking, negotiations are underway.

"Of course, I can't say now if it will be successful or not."

With just one week left of the transfer window, Balotelli is eager to get his career back on track having been training on his own with the Reds.

He spent last season on loan at AC Milan but spectacularly flopped scoring just once in 20 appearances.

His powerful agent, Mino Raiola, has been hunting high and low for a new club and has offered to striker to rivals Everton for the season.

Ronald Koeman is in the market for a new forward with doubts remaining over Romelu Lukaku's future at the Toffees.

The Dutch manager insists that Lukaku will spend one more season at Goodison but the Belgian is thought to be seriously considering moving back to former club Chelsea.
