As you can see in the video above, one fan can be heard pleading to nearby stewards to step in as the violence escalated, saying: "You need to step in."

Another so-called supporter can clearly be heard shouting: "Let's have them West Ham. Get on them, West Ham."

As one outbreak of mindless violence gets close to one fan they are heard screaming: "What are you doing you f***ing mug?"

Michail Antonio won all three points for the Hammers by hitting the only goal of the game five minutes from time.

Punches and kicks were thrown during the melee and verbal abuse could clearly be heard.

West Ham have since condemned the incident.

They said in a statement: "West Ham United condemn unreservedly the behaviour of a small minority of individuals in an isolated incident following the fixture against AFC Bournemouth.

"That kind of behaviour has no place at in football and we will work with the police and other stakeholders to review the incidents and take action against anyone found guilty of violence, disorder, threatening behaviour, or abuse."

It comes just three months after Hammers fans attacked Manchester United's team coach as it arrived for the final game at Upton Park in May.
