Marcus Rashford faces the axe from new England boss Sam Allardyce’s first Three Lions squad
Manchester United hero scored on international debut but will pay price for being left out of Jose Mourinho's side
MARCUS RASHFORD faces the axe from Sam Allardyce’s first England squad.
Manchester United’s whizkid striker, 18, is expected to pay the price after being left out of Jose Mourinho’s opening two Premier League games.
Rashford scored on his England debut against Australia in May and was selected for the doomed Euro 2016 squad.
Allardyce, who picks his first squad on Sunday, said: “Rashford is not playing. It makes it harder for me now to select him.
“At such a young age, do I say ‘Go play in the Under-21s, get used to international football and it will help you hopefully break into the Manchester United team and then the England senior team’?
“You’ve got all those scenarios to consider.”
