Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept his Man Utd flops in Old Trafford dressing room for TWO hours after being smashed by Liverpool
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER reportedly kept his Manchester United players in the dressing room for TWO HOURS after their thrashing at home to Liverpool.
The Red Devils were humiliated in front of their own fans at Old Trafford as Jurgen Klopp's side demolished them 5-0.
Solskjaer has come in for a huge amount of criticism following the horror show on Sunday evening, a result which leaves Man Utd without a win in four Premier League games.
And now, it is being reported that the club are considering axing him before the Tottenham game on Saturday.
But in a bid to get the seriousness of his message across after the Liverpool defeat, are reporting that he kept the players in the dressing room for two hours in a bid to make them understand the magnitude of the loss.
However, when speaking to the press Solskjaer remained optimistic that he is making progress with the squad.
He said: "I do believe in myself, I do believe that I am getting close to what I want with the club.
"I think what we've done, what I've seen, the development, of course the results lately haven't been good enough, it's hands up and that brings doubt in anyone's mind probably.
"But I've got to keep strong and I do believe in what we've been doing, the coaching staff, the players. Today's rock bottom, low in confidence.
"Next week is Tottenham away, it's a Champions League game Atalanta, the next team who visits us is Man City.
"We have to look forward, sort our frames of mind out and make sure we go into the next training session in the right frame of mind."
Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho in December 2018 but is yet to win a trophy since becoming the man in charge.
In the summer, he was awarded a new three-year contract after guiding United to second in the league last term, behind only neighbours Manchester City.

At the time, a United statement claimed 'clear progress' had been made under the Norwegian.
But despite signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, the club appear to have regressed.
United have now lost five of their last nine games in all competitions and dropped to seventh in the Premier League table.
