Tottenham star Harry Kane thinks Vincent Janssen partnership can Spur Mauricio Pochettino’s side to glory
Strikers played up front together for the first time in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend
HARRY KANE reckons his partnership with Vincent Janssen can Spur Tottenham to glory.
Mauricio Pochettino used the pair together for the first time in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
And Kane reckons there was enough evidence on show to prove they can form a dynamic duo, despite reports linking Barcelona kid Munir with a £12.9million switch.
The England star said: “I thought we played well together. He likes to hold it up and bring others into play.
“We created a lot of chances and on another day I think we both could have scored a couple of goals. If the manager wants us to play together throughout the season then we are more than capable of doing that. We will create a lot of chances and score a lot of goals.”
Tottenham's young squad fell just short least season - finishing third after pushing champions Leicester until the final few games.
And Kane believes Pochettino's faith in his players, which has seen just Janssen and Victor Wanyama brought in so far, will be rewarded.
Speaking after setting up Wanyama's winner against the Eagles, he added: “We have got a great team. The manager has brought a couple of new signings in. We have got a great team bond.
“We went through a lot last year, both highs and lows, so we have got that experience together. The gaffer has created a family atmosphere, a brotherhood between the players.
“Teams that buy a lot of players feel like they need to change something. The manager has felt we did not need to change too much.
“We have got a great core. Let the talk be about everyone else, like it was last season, and we will just keep doing what we are doing.
