But the veteran keeper's move to the Etihad has stalled after Marc-Andre ter Stegen suffered a knee injury leaving Barcelona with a shortage of stoppers ahead of the upcoming La Liga campaign which kicks off on Friday.

However with Bravo already agreeing terms to reunite with Guardiola, Barca boss Luis Enrique has launched a £10million offer for Ajax's Cillessen which will end Hart's 10-year stay in Manchester.

It was believed that Hart could leave on loan with Everton and Borussia Dortmund showing an interest but City chiefs want him to leave permanently - and want £30m for his signature.

Ronald Koeman's Toffees remain favourites to land the England's No.1 with mega-rich owner Farhad Moshiri prepared to meet City's asking price and match Hart's wage demands.

Hart is in no rush for a transfer and is prepared to wait until deadline day before plotting his next move.
