The Italian-born Dutch agent raked in £43.6M from his dealings with superstars this summer and 'treated himself' to the luxury Florida pad.

He received £20M from Manchester United and Juventus as part of Paul Pogba's world-record move, while Old Trafford transfers for clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped boost that total further.

Now, arguably the most notorious agent in the world - move over Jorge Mendes - has purchased one of the most iconic properties of the last century.

Or did he?

The mansion - bought by gangster Al Capone as a family retreat in 1928 - was restored to its former glory last year.

Reports in linked Raiola with the purchase of the gorgeous pad, stating that he even got it for a knockdown price as he has a 'bond with the Capone family'.

Raiola even met with Pogba in Miami.

But American wealth and investment management company MB America, who maintain the property on behalf of the owners, have told SunSport that Raiola HAS NOT purchased the villa and it is still up for grabs.

They told us: "MB America denies any sale of the above mentioned property to Mino Raiola.

"After a significant renovation, MB America  still manages the property which is available for rental to video and photo productions."

The 6,077-square-foot main structure sits on a 30,000-square-foot waterfront site.

Lavish and extravogant, the plush pad is a million miles from Raiola's humble beginnings.

The complex is made up of a gate house, main villa, cabana overlooking a private pool on one side and Biscayne Bay on the other.

Its 1920's look remains intact but the house itself has had £1.35m spent on renovations.

Raiola was born in southern Italy but moved to Haarlem in Holland when he was a baby, growing up to work in his family's restaurant 'Napoli'.

After enrolling at law school, he joined the board of local side FC Haarlem at 22 years old but resigned as the club was "too conservative".

His real success came when he joined sport agency company Sports Promotions - and gained his contacts with some of the world's most high profile players.

Clients like Dennis Bergkamp and Pavel Nedved rocketed his career into what it is today.

But major fall outs with clubs and managers - Ajax in 2004 and Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012 - made him a man with enemies as well as friends, much like a certain Al Capone.
