Jose Mourinho to leave Paul Pogba in Manchester for extra training as United travel to Bournemouth
Boss has ordered his record £109million signing to sweat it out at Carrington rather than cheerleading at Dean Court
NEW-BOY Paul Pogba will train today instead of watching his pals.
Manchester United face Bournemouth away in their season opener.
But boss Jose Mourinho has ordered his record £109million signing to sweat it out at Carrington rather than cheerleading at Dean Court.
Mourinho wants the Frenchman, 23, to step up his preparations for Friday’s home clash against Southampton.
The dynamic midfielder misses the Bournemouth showdown because of a ban at Juventus that was carried over from last season.
But there was still the chance for him to watch his new team-mates.
And the travelling Red Devils’ fans would also have been given a much-anticipated glimpse of the man who left United for Juve four years ago.
But Mourinho has laid down the law and made it clear he wants Pog back at the club’s training HQ with other non-first-team players.
The Special One confirmed that Pogba has NOT travelled to the south coast and added: “He trains.”
Chris Smalling is also suspended for the Premier League clash against Eddie Howe’s men.
