Arsenal chief Edu’s wife gives fan middle finger after suffering abuse during Chelsea loss as Emirates gets heated
THE wife of Arsenal technical director Edu gave one of the club's fans the middle finger during their defeat to Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday.
The Gunners were outclassed by their London rivals as a capacity crowd watched Mikel Arteta's side limp to a 2-0 loss.
And tempers flared up in the stadium as the game wore on, with one supporter opting to confront Edu by getting out of his seat and berating him from the steps, a confrontation that was later posted on .
And while Edu appeared to remain composed throughout the abuse, his wife Paula Gaspar could not contain her frustration.
After the fan had finished aggressively making his point, Gaspar put her middle finger up at him as frustrations boiled over.
Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also felt the wrath of the angry Gunners support following the defeat.
Footage emerged of some men surrounding the Spaniard's car and shouting 'Arteta, do yourself a favour and leave the club' before being hauled away by security.
However, in the immediate aftermath of the match Arteta remained complementary about the fans support despite the team being booed at half-time and full-time.

"What I saw today, apart from Lokonga, I thought he was very good today, [Nicolas] Pepe did a bit in places, I thought we looked really bereft of anything that we were doing.
