Pep Guardiola hints at Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasri and Eliaquim Mangala sales as Manchester City trio are omitted from Champions League squad
The arrival of John Stones will be confirmed this week after former Everton man is included in Euro squad
MANCHESTER CITY trio Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasri and Eliaquim Mangala are on their way out of the Etihad.
Manager Pep Guardiola has left the three players out of his Champions League squad, according to Uefa - who also revealed that John Stones would be joining from Everton imminently.
The European governing body posted City's squad for the play-off against Steaua Bucharest on their website.
Stones was included but Bony, Nasri and Mangala were all missing despite being fully fit.
Club captain Vincent Kompany and new boy Ilkay Gundogan have also been omitted, but both of those are out injured until September.
Teenager Oleksandr Zinchenko will be given more time to adjust to life in England.
The trio represent three of the least successful signings of the Sheikh Mansour era.
Nasri joined the club from Arsenal in 2011 and has had, by far the best City career of the three.
He has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup with the club, but has struggled with form and fitness in the last two seasons.
When he returned to pre-season overweight it spelled the end with a manager whose system demands his players be in peak physical condition.
