Veteran Ibrahimovic had a stunning spell at Parc des Princes between 2012 and 2016, during which he scored 156 goals in 180 appearances.

He opted to leave the city of love to join Manchester United give years ago, spending 18 months at Old Trafford before hopping stateside to LA Galaxy.

Ibra reignited his career by returning to AC Milan in January 2020, and has committed to Stefano Pioli's side for the upcoming campaign.

But that doesn't mean that he didn't at least look elsewhere.

According to Le Parisien, agent Mino Raiola held discussions with PSG sporting director Leonardo over bringing his client back to the club.

But manager Mauricio Pochettino opted against the move, deciding that 39-year-old Ibrahimovic is not the profile of player that he wants.

They also felt that his 'clash of egos' with Neymar could be an issue.

PSG have been busy this summer, after losing their title to Lille last season.

They have so far recruited Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos.

But they had a disastrous start to the season at the weekend, losing the Trophee des Champions to Lille without a number of their key men.
