NEW Leeds keeper Rob Green suffered a nightmare on his return to Loftus Road.

Leeds lost 3-0 and former England No 1 Green drew derision on Twitter after helping QPR on their way in just the fourth minute by flapping tentatively at a high ball swirling around his six yard box.

The visitors failed to clear a corner, and Green and his defenders made a pig's ear of trying to clear, giving Nedum Onuoha the chance to bundle home from a yard out.

It was also the worst possible start for new Leeds head coach Garry Monk - and things only got worse.

Tjaronn Chery's penalty made it 2-0 after Ronaldo Vieira clumsily fouled Jordan Cousins before Sebastian Polter fired in a third with the game's final touch.

QPR striker Polter caused Leeds' defence problems and twice hit the upright in the opening 45 minutes as the visitors looked off the pace.

Monk's side showed glimpses of an attacking threat in the second half, but £3million summer signing Kemar Roofe was among those who struggled to impose themselves.

Another new recruit, Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson, missed perhaps their best chance at 2-0 behind when he failed to hit the target with a one-on-one against QPR keeper Alex Smithies.
